With the recent buffs to the Mayan pantheon, it seemed fit to highlight Ah Muzen Cab today. Ah Muzen Cab, or AMC to the community, is the Mayan god of bees. He utilizes his mastery of the critters to slow, disorient, and disarm his enemies. The changes in the Cyber Sentinel sentinel patch helped round out his character design. The community perception of AMC can be weak, but he is an incredible duelist. He can be surprisingly tricky to fight due to the rare ability to disarm enemies. Let’s take a look into this toolkit.

Ah Muzen Cab’s Abilities

Passive: Bees! – Enemies afflicted by Bees! take damage every .5s for 2s, are revealed on the minimap, and swarm nearby enemies. Basic Attacks refresh and extend the duration of Bees! by 1s, and any target afflicted for 4s is Disarmed for 1s (10s Cooldown between Disarms).

1: Hive – Bees swarm at the ground target location, creating a new Hive that provides movement and Attack Speed Buffs to Ah Muzen Cab. He also heals for a small amount every second while he remains close to the Hives. Hives reveal enemies within 20 units of them and will notify Ah Muzen Cab if they are destroyed. The Hives can only be destroyed by Basic Attacks (maximum 6 Hives).

2: Swarm – Ah Muzen Cab summons a large swarm of bees that fly forward in a path in front of him, dealing damage to all enemies hit and applying Bees to them.

3: Honey – Ah Muzen Cab sprays honey at a moveable ground target location, Slowing all enemies in the area. Bees from Hives within 90 units and Swarm will fly over to protect the honey, dealing damage every .5 second and applying Bees! to all enemies as they leave the honey.

4: Stinger – Ah Muzen Cab fires off an enormous stinger that deals damage to all enemies in a line, sticking into the first god that is hit, applying Bees! and Crippling them for 3 seconds. If the target dies or after 3 seconds, the stinger falls onto the ground for 4 seconds. If he picks up his stinger, he gains a significant reduction to Stinger’s Cooldown.

Ain’t Nothing But a Bee Thing

AMC’s power revolves around proper usage of Bees!, Hives, and Honey. You can place up to six beehives around the map, ensuring maximum coverage with Honey. Additionally, the hives act as detection against ganks and flanks. The pay-off for proper placement is amazing. Let’s talk about Bees! This passive provides decent damage, displays them on the minimap for your team, and after 4 seconds disarms the target for a second. Wow. With the slow and AoE from Honey, you can apply a surprising amount of control to an enemy team. Knowing that we have so much control, it is best to sit back with AMC and let your opponents come to you. You have the vision from beehives and the waveclear from Swarm.

Stinger is an amazing ability for a Hunter. While most hunters rely on auto-attack damage to do the majority of their damage, AMC is able to utilize two spell nukes as well. Stinger gains a massive 80% cooldown refund when he is able to pick it up. This allows him to continually deal spike damage.
