Traditionally there aren’t too many peripherals designed with specifically MOBAs in mind, but when we received word that Razer was releasing a new version of the Naga Hex v2 with updated internals, a new design, and even more customization in mind, you can imagine our excitement! Along with the new mouse Razer is also holding an open tournament for both League of Legends and Dota 2.
No fair, mouse is OP
Although the mouse is built specifically with MOBA players in mind the mouse itself should appeal to action RPG players, or anyone who needs a solid mouse with 7 programable buttons. The mouse sports a very impressive 16k DPI sensor which will move faster than you can believe (you know when I was young our mice had rubber balls that rolled around…) and with Chroma support you can find a color that suits your mood, or as a much more useful feature, you could program the mouse to light up the buttons when your abilities come off cool-down. Players can create and share their settings on the Chroma workshop, and knowing what the MOBA communities have created, I can’t wait to see what they make for this.
Razer Arena Tournament 2016: Global Crusade
As I mentioned Razer is also taking the opportunity to announce a global tournament for both League of Legends and Dota 2. Giving fans an opportunity to try to claim a little glory for themselves!
But how does it play?
Razer was kind enough to send a review unit to us and we are very excited to show off some game with a video.
Believe us when we tell you that this mouse is everything you never knew you wanted. The all matte finish helps keep fingerprints off, and looks nice, especially with the Chroma colors. The extra buttons are easy to use, comfortable to reach, don’t get in the way, and it manages to keep the same feeling and weight you would expect from a Razer mouse. In spite of having a radial wheel of buttons on the side the mouse manages to feel smaller than you would expect, and coming from Death Adder, and Taipan mice (both from Razer) it felt right for both weight and size. Definitely check this out, I have a feeling you will see it around more and more often!
